SCREEN PRINT

Screen Printing

Screen printing is a printing technique. Where a mesh gets used to transfer ink onto a substrate. Except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. A blade or squeegee gets moved across the screen to fill the open mesh apertures with ink. A reverse stroke then causes the screen to touch the substrate. Along a line of contact. This causes the ink to get pulled out of the mesh apertures as the screen rebounds away from the substrate.

HEAT PRESS

Heat Press

A heat press allows you to print designs on t-shirts, hoodies, and other garments. A heat press machine has two heated platens (plates) that open and close like a clamshell. The bottom platen is where the garment gets placed. The top platen comes down on top of it.In between the two platens is a sheet of transfer paper. Onto which your design gets printed. The transfer paper placed face-down on the garment. The two platens are, closed.
